1) установил TweacUAC. Позволяет UAC работать в среднем режиме, без лишнего шума. Сейчас ребутнусь - посмотрим, как оно.

3) Sandboxie - позволяет запускать приложения в, собственно, режиме Sandbox: с ограничением доступа к файловой системе. На картинках вроде все понятно, но интересен механизм работы: дается ли только read only доступ, что происходит при записи?

4) Плагин для Хрома. Показывает пользовательские оценки сайтам. Тоже увидим, что с этого выйдет.

5) Недавно использовал Comodo Essentials - не понравился: слишком много всего в одном флаконе, знатно тормозит. Это - чисто фаервол. Посмотрим, если тормозить не будет - наверно, одна из лучших бесплатных софтин.

Update: Оказалось, Comodo Firewall содержит свой собственный Sandbox, так что в Sandboxie особо смысла нету. Разве что чисто заблокировать браузер, как описано тут.
Mini update to update: в последней версии Sandboxie не нашел, как прилепить его к браузеру по умолчанию. Смысла в Sandboxie нету, если есть Comodo Sandbox.

In order to be protected from all malware that I am aware of you need to make a few more change to your configuration. Please go to the "Defense+" tab and select "Computer Security Policy". Ignore the warning that pops up and continue. Inside of this select the tab for "Protected Files and Folders" and hit the edit button. Select yes and left click where is says "Important Files/Folders". Click "Add" and then from the drop-down menu click "Select From". Then choose "Browse". In the box for "Add new item" just copy and paste in the following path "\Global??\FltMgrMsg". Be sure that when you do this you do not include the quotes. Click "Apply" and then click "yes". Now scroll down to where it says "3rd Party Protocol Drivers". Left click on "3rd Party Protocol Drivers", select Add, click "Select From", and then click "Browse". Now copy in "\Device\KsecDD", again ignoring the quotes. Click "Apply" and then click "yes". Once again click "Apply". Then, without closing the window, go to the "Blocked Files" tab. Click "Add" and then select "Browse". In the box for "Add new item" just copy and paste in "*.locked", once again ignoring the quotes. Click "Apply" and then click "yes". Now click "OK". This is very important. Without selecting "OK" all of the above changes will be lost.
On your system a bug was hidden on the drive somewhere likely under your user account sub folders if not posing as a system file. To see this gone you may have dump the present av program entirely in order to run the 15 day trial of VIPRE Internet Security 2012.
That will find bugs you didn't even know were on the drive at times! They also have a few other special bug removers like the VIPRE Rescue Program used for getting Windows back running when hit with a malware. And their most recent addition for removing fake-wares/scam-wares the Fakerean removal toolwhich will clean off a fakeware with a quick restart of the system once downloaded and opened on an infected machine.
